For many organisations, engaging with the criminal justice system can feel complex or unfamiliar.
Anabranch Plus provides a structured and responsible way for partners to contribute to rehabilitation while ensuring programmes are delivered safely, professionally and with measurable outcomes.
Our programmes focus on developing:
• confidence and personal capability.
• professional behaviour and communication.
• employability readiness.
• pathways into employment, education and training.
Through these programmes, participants are supported to build the capability required to move forward with their lives.
Delivering Social Value Commitments
Anabranch Plus supports organisations that need to deliver social value commitments as part of public sector contracts.
Our programmes contribute to several key social value themes, including:
• employability and skills development.
• mentoring and community engagement.
• reducing barriers to employment.
• supporting rehabilitation and reintegration.
By partnering with us, organisations can deliver social value that creates genuine impact rather than symbolic activity.
How Organisations Can Get Involved
There are a number of ways organisations can engage with our work.
Programme Partnerships
Organisations can partner with us to support the delivery of structured programmes within prisons and young offender institutions.
Employment Pathways
Employers can support rehabilitation by providing opportunities for individuals preparing to transition into work after release.
Our Delivery Model
We deliver structured programmes that support participants through three stages of development:
Identity
Helping individuals develop confidence, self-awareness and personal responsibility.
Capability
Developing professional behaviours, communication skills and employability readiness.
Opportunity
Connecting individuals with training, education and employment pathways.
This structured model helps participants build the capability required to move forward beyond custody.

The word "Anabranch" refers to a branch of a river that separates and flows away from the main channel, only to rejoin it further downstream.
Just as an anabranch diverges from the main river, individuals who have been impacted by the criminal justice system often find themselves on a detour from the mainstream path of society.
At Anabranch Plus, we recognise that these divergent paths, while challenging, are not permanent.
Our goal is to serve as the "plus“, the guiding force that reconnects these individuals with the main course of life, empowering them to navigate their way back to a fulfilling and productive journey.
